Charles Lester III, KJ Bolden, Florida State 5-star duo, attend big win: 'It's a new era'

Venice (Florida) five-star cornerback Charles Lester III had high praise for Florida State after the win

No. 8 Florida State's 45-24 win over No. 5 LSU may have been at a neutral site, but that didn't stop top recruits from flocking to the game.

Ohio State five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, the nation's No. 2 overall prospect, was scheduled to be in attendance.

But so, too, were Florida State five-star commits Charles Lester III and KJ Bolden, arguably the nation's top 1-2 defensive back duo.

After the game Lester tweeted out a series of pictures with Bolden and fans.

"It's a new era," he wrote.

Lester is rated the nation's No. 2 cornerback and Bolden is rated the nation's No. 1 safety in the class of 2024.

Not to be outdone, Bolden weighed in on the victory as well.

"Why not us?" he wrote.

After Sunday night's victory it's difficult to disagree with that sentiment.

To win the ACC? To make the college football playoff? To become a top destination for recruits?

Florida State's big win was Week 1's biggest statement.
