2025 Topps Chrome Football Cards: A First Look Guide

In this story:
Topps announced that they have officially regained the NFL license for trading cards, and are already in the process of teasing their first release. All signs point to that being 2025 Topps Chrome Football, which will feature the key rookies from this last NFL season. All day, Topps has been sharing images on their social media accounts, giving collectors an idea of what they might be able to pull from packs. With an April 3rd pre-order date straight ahead, Topps Chrome Football looks to make a major impact on the hobby.

Here is a first look at some featured cards from 2025 Topps Chrome Football.
Fan Favorite Inserts and Parallels Return and Debut to the NFL Hobby
Football fans will jump for joy knowing that the Superfractor parallel is back again, and it will be in demand. A preview image of a Tom Brady Superfractor was shared by Fanatics, and it has Brady in his Patriots uniform. The design of the card keeps with the 25-26 Flagship Baseball and Basketball model, showing a sense of continuity among the sports. It will be interesting to see what the Superfractors of legends, rookies, and big name players sell for if they hit the open market.

Inserts will also feature in the product, with a select few making their NFL debut. Fortune 15 makes it's way over from the Baseball set, while Ultraviolet All Stars also migrates over. The Superfractor version of the Patrick Mahomes Fortune 15 insert was shared earlier today. The Ultraviolet All Stars insert has sold well for other sports, and it would not be shocking to see that trend continue here.

Perhaps the most notable edition is the inclusion of Gold NFL Shield Patch Autographs. These cards will be one of a kind, and are taken off of jerseys worn by a select few NFL players from last season. This includes Jayden Daniels (Offensive Rookie of the Year), Josh Allen (MVP), Saquon Barkley (Offensive Player of the Year), Pat Surtain II (Defensive Player of the Year), and Jared Verse (Defensive Rookie of the Year). The cards themselves are quite striking, with the color of gold popping off of the card, and the player's signature being a perfect companion.

Autographs of Superstars, Legends, and Rookies Highlight the Product
Other autographs can be found in the release, and while a checklist is not known yet, a few names have been confirmed. Legends look to have signed for the release, as a preview image of an Adrian Peterson autograph was shared. This particular card is numbered out of only 10, and also includes an on card autograph. Other rookies and stars should have autographs in the product, so collectors should stayed tuned for more information.

Rookie Patch Autographs can also be found, which can sometimes be a forgotten feature of Topps Chrome in general. Jaxson Dart appears in this subset, and the Superfractor version features an NFL shield along with his autograph. He also appears to have written 1 of 1 on the card. Dart made a significant impact during his first season with the New York Giants, and if that trend continues, this could prove to be a valuable card.

2025 Topps Chrome Football is arriving soon, and Topps is currently advertising a pre order date of April 3rd on their website. While a checklist is not known at the time of writing, many cards have been shared out by Topps today, giving collectors an idea of what they can find. Without question, anticipation is building in the hobby over this release, and for good reason.
