The Atlanta Falcons were crushed in their 2026 preseason debut, losing to the Denver Broncos by a score of 27-7, despite their starters playing a handful of snaps.

They'll look to rebound in Week 2 when they take on the Indianapolis Colts, who played to a 13-13 tie against the New England Patriots in Week 1.

Starters are expected to remain sidelined for this game after playing against each other in several joint practices earlier this week. With that in mind, let's take a look at the odds for Saturday's game.

Falcons vs. Colts Betting Trends

  • Kevin Stefanski is 8-8 straight up and against the spread as a head coach in the preseason
  • Shane Steichen is 5-4-1 straight up and 5-5 against the spread as a head coach in the preseason

Falcons vs. Colts Key Player to Watch

  • Riley Leonard, QB - Indianapolis Colts

There is a battle for the No. 2 quarterback spot in Indianapolis, but neither player created separation in Week 1. Anthony Richardson started the game and went 11-of-14 for 145 yards and an interception. Riley Leonard came into the game in the second half and went 10-of-21 for 89 yards and an interception. They will flip things in this game, with Leonard getting the start and Richardson coming in the second half.

Falcons vs. Colts Prediction and Best Bet

The Falcons' first game was a disaster, but let's not forget the amount of variance we see week-to-week in the NFL, especially the preseason. That's why I think setting the Falcons as 3.5-point underdogs in a game in which starters won't play for either team is an overreaction to last week's results.

Based on how both Richardson and Leonard played at quarterback for the Colts in Week 1, I don't know if they can create separation and cover this 3.5-point spread against Atlanta.

I'll take the points with the Dirty Birds.
