Alabama Commit Shines In McDonald's All American Game: Roll Call

Alabama basketball commit Jaxon Richardson was back in the spotlight on Tuesday as he participated in the McDonald's All-American game. The Orlando product played 21 minutes, scoring 13 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.
His 13 points were third on the East team as his side cruised to an easy 91-71 win over the West team. Arkansas commit Jordan Smith Jr. scored 15, while Missouri commit Toni Bryant scored 14 to lead the East team.
Richardson showed great athleticisim, showcasing his high-flying ability as he was on the receiving end of numerous alley-oops, but he also excelled on the defensive end. His ball pressure forced opponents into tough shots and he created a few turnovers as he helped the East win the matchup.

Former Alabama basketball player Naas Cunningham plans on entering the transfer portal when it opens. Cunningham redshirtted during his first year in college in Tuscaloosa before transferring to UNLV. Cunningham played in 21 games, averaging five points and 1.1 rebounds in 13.3 minutes.

April 1, 1967: Dock Rhone, Jr., a 5-8, 185-pound guard from Carver High in Montgomery was the first black player to try out for the Crimson Tide football team. He was joined in spring practice by Andrew Pernell, Arthur Dunning, Melvin Leverette and Jerome Tucker. Rone and Pernell played in the spring game and both had a spot on the team for the fall, but Rone had to drop out of school. Pernell stayed on the team, but didn’t dress for a game.
April 1, 2006: No one knew it at the time, but the last A-Day Game with Mike Shula as head coach was played at Bryant-Denny Stadium. D.J. Hall caught seven passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns to be named game MVP as the White defeated the Crimson 17-3 before approximately 40,000 fans.
