Live Updates: Alabama Baseball vs. Ole Miss (Game 1)

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Here we go.
The long baseball season is coming to its close, as the Alabama Crimson Tide finishes its season against the Ole Miss Rebels.
The Crimson Tide (35-17, 13-14 SEC) has a big weekend ahead of itself — the team has an opportunity to host a regional in the NCAA tournament in just two weeks' time. With a sweep over the last-place Rebels (25-26, 6-21 SEC) and a good outcome in Hoover for the 2023 SEC Tournament, Alabama may find itself in that position.
The Crimson Tide hasn't hosted a regional in the NCAA tournament since 2006. D1Baseball currently has Alabama as one of the top No. 2 seeds in the field.
"I think we've had some really good, well-rounded efforts," interim head coach Jason Jackson said. "For the most part, it's been a little bit of everything. I think we've done a good job in all four phases."
"I think everyone's having fun, everyone's playing loose," shortstop Jim Jarvis said. "Not really worried about what's on the scoreboard, just playing each game pitch-by-pitch. We're getting some big swings when we need them."
RHP Luke Holman (3.79 ERA) gets the start for the Crimson Tide — Ole Miss is matching with LHP Xavier Rivas (6.49 ERA).
First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
