There may not be any game action taking place for any Crimson Tide athletic program but there was still a ton to get into on the Monday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral".

Let's get things started with an Alabama football disciplinary issue. Junior defensive lineman Jamil Burroughs found himself in hot water on Friday with the coaching staff. Gaither reads what's been reported already, and connects the dots as to why Burroughs is facing such staunch discipline.

The show then turns to the U.S. Open as Wyndham Clark took home his first major win. However, the focus was on the former Crimson Tide superstar Justin Thomas. The Louisville-native embarrassed himself by missing the cut, but his poor play was overshadowed by Sunday social media antics. Did you enjoy Thomas's commentary, or think he should have been on the putting green?

Future Alabama quarterback Julian Sayin set the college football world on fire this past weekend by winning the Elite 11 Finals. How excited should Crimson Tide fans be about the Carlsbad, Cali., native?

Gaither broke down exactly what the scouts and evaluators were looking for on each day of the Elite 11 camp, and discussed the general narratives surrounding Sayin's performance.

Sayin joins Brodie Croyle, Tua Tagovailoa and Blake Barnett as Alabama-commits to win the competition. We compare Sayin with the other three and amongst the other Crimson Tide-commits to compete at Elite 11.

The show flipped to the NBA as the Crimson Tide sees two of its prospects expected to be drafted on Thursday night. Where do the scouts have Noah Clowney slotted? Could he even end up a lottery selection?

We conclude our Monday with a discussion on "The Goat". Alabama head coach Nick Saban was snitched on by his daughter over the weekend. A video was released depicting Saban playin a VirtualReality game.

Additionally, the Crimson Tide head coach was on the Joel Klatt Podcast on Monday using Vegas lines as an explanation as to why Alabama should have been in last season's College Football Playoff. If Saban believes that's a legitimate reason for the Tide to have been included in last season's playoff, why does he continuously tell the public that Vegas lines don't matter on game-week?
