Alabama Players in the NFL Tracker: Divisional Playoffs
No Derrick Henry.
No Jonathan Allen.
No Minkah Fitzpatrick.
The playoff list of former Alabama players in the NFL took a big hit during the wild-card round, as many were elimination from Super Bowl contention as their teams lost. But that was going to happen regardless.
Alabama has too many players, on too many teams, for that not to happen.
However, a nice consolation prize for some of them was they got to attend the National Championship Game in Miami on Monday night.
Only one team out of the eight remaining doesn't have a former Alabama player on the roster, the New Orleans Saints.
Only one other team doesn't have an active former Crimson Tide player, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (tight end O.J. Howard is on the injured reserve). They play of course, on Sunday, all but ensuring that three of the four teams in the conference championships will have active Alabama players.

NFL Divisional Playoff Notes
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey had a pass defended against the Titans last week. He's aiming for his third straight against the Bills with two-plus passes defended. He led the NFL with career-high eight forced fumbles during the 2020 season.
Bills cornerback Levi Wallace, who recently had his first career interception, notched his first forced fumble during the wild-card round last weekend.
- Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who had two sacks in his team’s wild-card win, tied for second in the league with 13.5 sacks in 2020 and became the fourth player since 1982 with at least eight sacks in each of his first seven seasons. The others were Pro Football Hall of Famers Derrick Thomas and Reggie White, and Demarcus Ware. Donald had 85.5 sacks in his first seven seasons and surpassed Thomas for the most sacks by a player in his first seven seasons since 1982, when the individual sack became an official statistic.
- Michael Thomas of the Saints averages 94.3 receiving yards per game in his postseason career, fourth in NFL history (minimum five games). He also averages 7.2 receptions per game during the postseason, second in NFL history (minimum five games) behind Julio Jones (7.6).
