The No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team is looking for its first SEC road win as the team travels to Lexington, Ky., to take on the No. 17 Kentucky Wildcats over the weekend.

Both teams have shown significant improvement since last year. The Wildcats have proven to be a dominant force in the conference this year, winning all but one SEC game so far, are 13-2 at home, and are currently riding a five-game winning streak. The Crimson Tide has earned a couple of big series wins against No. 4 Tennessee and No. 22 South Carolina, but struggled in its road matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs and has yet to sweep a conference opponent.

In the standings, Kentucky is sitting atop the SEC East, two games ahead of Vanderbilt and Florida, while Alabama is tied with Mississippi State at No. 3 in the SEC West, two games behind Texas A&M and four behind Arkansas.

For Alabama, Ben Hess and Greg Farone will make their usual starts and Zane Adams will start on Sunday. Adams has primarily been used as the midweek starter, but got moved to the weekend rotation after Hagan Banks had season-ending elbow surgery.
