Five recruits that could be the next to commit to the Auburn Tigers

Auburn might look to lock down a commitment from these five prospects in the coming months.

The recruiting over the past two months for Auburn has been sensational, gaining seven recruits since the beginning of June. The final month before the season is starting so it begs the question, who will commit before that first snap on September 2nd?

There are a few likely candidates, all of which Auburn has been pursuing for quite some time. Along the offensive and defensive lines, there are three combined players, which is important because Auburn only has one big boy committed as of August 6th. The other two are a linebacker and a wide receiver with tons of versatility.

Deandre Carter

Carter is one of the best in the country in terms of interior offensive linemen, and Auburn has made him a top priority. Using connections along the west coast with TE Coach Ben Aigamaua, OL Coach Jake Thornton has used this as an in with Carter. He has visited twice since first being offered in June and for a kid that far away his willingness to come shows true interest. A decision date for Carter is not currently known, but announcing before the season seems to be a likely move for the Mater Dei product. Carter will choose between Auburn, Texas, Michigan State, and USC.

Kamarion Franklin

We have mentioned Franklin before in many articles. He is one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the country. The Lake Cormorant, Mississippi native has totaled over 100 tackles and 29 sacks during his high school career. Like Carter, a decision date for Franklin is not known, Auburn among other teams will be excited for this announcement. Miami and Tennessee are viewed as the Tigers main competition for the five-star.

T.J. Lindsey

Lindsey is yet another defensive lineman that Auburn has put the full-court press on, as DL Coach Jeremy Garrett is looking to fill out the rest of his class. Lindsey, unlike Franklin, is an interior defensive lineman and has excelled at using his lower pad level to get behind the offensive line and stop the run plays. Lindsey was one of the top 10 players in the state of Arkansas before transferring to IMG Academy. A decision for Lindsey seems like it could come at any minute.

Bradley Shaw

Shaw is one of the best interior linebackers in the state of Alabama. He has a knack for finding the ball and attacking it in every way. Capable as a run stopper, pass rusher, and in coverage, Shaw represents what could be a new wave of linebackers for Auburn. The Tigers have had many talented linebackers over the past decade, but most of them were on the smaller size, Shaw stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs in at around 220 pounds. A decision date has not been released but it seems like the final schools are Auburn, Notre Dame, and Alabama.

Ny Carr

Carr is one of the top WRs in the country ranked 24th in the nation at the WR position according to 247 Sports. Auburn has emerged seemingly out of nowhere as a potential flip destination for the UGA commit. The athletic and very versatile six-footer visited on Big Cat Weekend, his first to Auburn and his second to anywhere besides Georgia since he committed in June of 2022. Flips have been going in Auburn's favor and assuming Marcus Davis and the staff are willing to take four wide receiver commitments he could be the final piece to an exceptional WR class.

The 2024 class has been a wildly successful class for a first-year coach that has yet to coach a snap of football, but the momentum is on the Tigers' side. There will be misses on recruits no doubt but these five seem likely to consider the Tigers heavily and could even be a commitment when it is all said and done.
