Good, Bad, and Ugly: Cincinnati @ No. 1 Houston

The Bearcats probably need to win the conference tournament. to end the March Madness drought.

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bearcats were in a must-win situation for March Madness against the #1 Houston Cougars, coming up short on the road after putting up a fight for the majority of the game.

The final score was 67-59 in favor of the Cougars and Cincinnati now likely has to win the Big 12 Tournament to make the dance.

The Good: Aziz Bandaogo had a good night as he had seven points and five rebounds while shooting 3-of-3. Viktor Lakhin had a nice night as a bench player. He had 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Bad: Their most dominant performers got in foul trouble during this game. This wasn’t ideal for the Bearcats at all and played a factor in the outcome of the game. Two of UC's top scorers finished with four fouls and Bandaogo fouled out.

The Ugly: Day Day Thomas and Dan Skillings were very underwhelming in this performance (14 points on 5-of-17 shooting). The Bearcats could’ve used big nights from the guards in the starting lineup.
