Wes Miller Discusses Latest Details Around Playing Jamille Reynolds During Restraining Order Window: 'I Wish I Had a Direct Answer'

Cincinnati will not punished if it plays Reynolds between now and Dec. 27.

CINCINNATI — The ball is in Jamille Reynolds' court to play in this two-week temporary restraining order window.

Cincinnati head coach Wes Miller confirmed that during his 700 WLWradio show on Thursday night as the big man weighs whether or not he should risk a season of eligibility.

"I wish I had a direct answer for you guys tonight," Miller said about whether Reynolds will suit up across the two-week TRO window. "Obviously, it's great that we have the opportunity now to play him in this window. I think it's a decision that Jamille is going to have to make ultimately, does he want to risk that eligibility? I think it's something we'll sit down and talk through in more depth tomorrow. I think he's excited that there's a step in the right direction. I think our team was excited about that. We certainly are as a staff, but we need to sit down and make sure that everybody understands all the dynamics before we make a final decision, and then that is how we'll handle it moving forward."

He has 12 days to play (next court session on Dec. 27) before a final permanent ruling is handed down on whether to continue the restraining order in the multi-state lawsuit against the NCAA aiming to get restricted two-time transfers their eligibility for this season.

Reynolds could bring some fantastic versatility to the most talented UC team Miller has put together at Cincinnati. The Bearcats' next game is this Saturday against Dayton, a top-60 team in the country.

"Another guy with a ton of size, a great rebounder, a guy with rim presence and shot-blocking ability," Miller said about what he'd bring to the team. "He's way more athletic than I think people realize he's gotten in great shape. He runs the floor well, finishes above the rim, and dunks everything. He has the ability to do that, and he can really score back to the basket. I think on the box, he's incredibly effective scoring over both shoulders and is a real threat. It's hard to double him because he's such a great passer."
