Ahmad Gardner Selected at No. 6 in NFL Network Mock Draft

Gardner has not been a top-10 pick in any other major mock drafts.

CINCINNATI — Ahmad Gardner's performance in the 2021 Cotton Bowl is boosting his draft stock left and right. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah placed him the highest of any major mock draft so far. Gardner went off the board at No. 6 to the Carolina Panthers in Jeremiah's mock.

"The Panthers will likely have their pick of any quarterback in the draft class," Jeremiah wrote. "Barring an unexpected move, they're committed (at least financially) to Sam Darnold for one more season. Gardner is the most gifted cornerback in the draft and would team with Carolina's 2021 first-rounder, Jaycee Horn, to give the Panthers the best young duo in the NFL."

Gardner has not been a top-10 pick in any other mock draft but Jeremiah loves what he's seen on film from the best NFL prospect in school history. Gardner didn't allow 20 yards in coverage across any game this season.
