Report: Bearcats Defensive Lineman Jabari Taylor Returning for 2022 Season

The four-year player decided to tap into his extra year of eligibility.

CINCINNATI — Luke Fickell and the Bearcats are retaining an impact player along the defensive front. According to Bearcat Journal, defensive lineman Jabari Taylor is staying at Cincinnati for another year.

Taylor played in all 13 games this past season and made 28 tackles, including 5.5 TFLs and two sacks. He should pick up right where he left off in 2022 when he uses his final season of eligibility.

The 6-foot-1, 280-pound mauler has amassed 73 tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble over four seasons at Cincinnati. On a defense losing stars like Ahmad Gardner, Coby Bryant, and Myjai Sanders—keeping Taylor is a big step towards winning a third-straight AAC title.

Taylor joins DL Malik Vann and safety Ja'Von Hicks as veteran NFL prospects returning for their last year of eligibility.
