Report: Central Michigan Offensive Line Coach Mike Cummings Joining UC in Same Role

The school is looking for a different role for current offensive line coach Ron Crook.

CINCINNATI — Luke Fickell named a new offensive coordinator this week and just made a switch in the offensive line room as well. ESPN's Pete Thamel reports that Central Michigan offensive line coach Mike Cummings is joining UC in the same role.

The school wants to keep current offensive line coach Ron Crook in some capacity. Crook has coached the UC offensive line since Fickell arrived in 2017.

Cummings brings a solid resume with him over from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He has been an offensive coordinator at UConn and CMU over the past decade—while molding multiple NFL draft picks, including 2013 No. 1 pick Eric Fisher.

According to The Athletic's Justin Williams, wide receivers coach Mike Brown is expanding his role to include passing game coordinator duties.
