Bearcats Move up to No. 4 in Historic CFP Rankings
CINCINNATI — Desmond Ridder and Cincinnati defeated SMU 48-14 this past weekend, prompting a historic College Football Playoff ranking. Cincinnati moved up to No. 4 after No. 11 Oregon fell by multiple scores on the road to No. 19 Utah. No Group of Five team has ever been ranked inside the top four of the CFP.
Multiple teams benefitted from Oregon's loss in the latest Top 10. Georgia stayed at No. 1, followed by Ohio State, Alabama, Cincinnati, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma.
One other AAC team cracked the CFP rankings. Houston slotted in at No. 24, leaving the Bearcats chances at one more ranked win on the table.
Cincinnati battles ECU on the road this Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
