Bearcats Safety Ja'Von Hicks Returning to Cincinnati for Another Year

The news is a big lift for a secondary with plenty of NFL Draft prospects.

CINCINNATI — UC's secondary is losing its two best players to the NFL Draft, but one veteran from that unit decided to stick around. Senior safety Ja'Von Hicks is returning to UC for the 2022 season.

The decision is a big boon for Luke Fickell's secondary that's losing two All-Americans in Coby Bryant and Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner.

Hicks is coming off a campaign where he started all 13 games and posted 48 tackles (28 solo) with two TFL, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries.
