ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit Ranks Cincinnati, Scott Satterfield Among Top CFB Performers in Week 2

CINCINNATI — The UC Bearcats posted an upset 27-21 win over Pittsburgh this past weekend and it prompted some love from ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit for Scott Satterfield and the football team.

Herbstreit had Cincinnati as the fourth-best performance this week and Satterfield as his fourth-best head coach from the week.

Cincinnati escaped Acrisure Stadium with a 27-21 victory after giving up 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh's famous defensive front wasn't enough for the comeback as UC amassed over 200 yards rushing for the second-straight game.

The star of the offense has been running back Corey Kiner, who is sixth nationally with 129 rushing yards per game through two weeks.

If Cincinnati can keep running the ball at a highly efficient rate (0.009 EPA/rush, 20th nationally) it could be a surprise contender for the 2023 Big 12 title.
