CINCINNATI — Cincinnati has offered James Madison transfer defensive end Isaac Ukwu.

The graduate transfer started all 11 games last fall for the Dukes and logged 87 total tackles with 10.5 tackles for a loss and 7.5 sacks (fifth in Sun Belt Conference) en route to being a First Team All-Sun Belt selection.

He's a big reason why James Madison's had so much early success at the FBS level.

Ukwu sports one year of eligibility remaining after battling injuries across six-plus college seasons. The power is palpable on his clips, plus, he does a nice job bending around tackles on the outside. The veteran ranked 93rd among all FBS edge rushers in PFF grading last season (79.3 overall, 80.6 pass rush grade).

He would bring some nice experience and depth to Cincinnati's beefed-up edge rushing unit.
