Report: Deion Sanders 'Preparing' To Take Head Coach Position At Colorado
CINCINNATI — Reportedly, "all signs" point to Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders taking the head coach position at Colorado. According to Pete Thamel, The NFL legend is leaping to a Power Five school, but not Cincinnati like many Bearcats fans had hoped.
"Multiple sources told ESPN that Sanders and his associates have spent the week making calls to both potential members of the on-field coaching staff and support staff positions to join him in Boulder," Thamel wrote.
Sanders is 26-5 with the Tigers and has them in the SWAC title game this weekend.
Now, he is scouring the transfer portal for top-tier talent and preparing to revitalize a Colorado team that's struggled since entering the Pac-12 a decade ago.
A report released on Thursday that "Primetime" has a "95% chance" to land at Colorado. Now he's going big time out west with a chance to rise as USC and UCLA enter the Big Ten.
