Report: UC Football Hiring Cass Simmons As Director Of Recruiting Strategy

The Bearcats are ready to fight for more high-level recruits.

CINCINNATI — UC reportedly bolstered its football recruiting arsenal with another Ohio State staffer on Wednesday.

According to On3's Matt Zenitz, OSU recruiting and personnel assistant Cass Simmons is the new director of recruiting strategy.

He is operating alongside general manager Zach Grant, who also came over from Ohio State. Simmons was an offensive line assistant and later the director of player personnel at Stephen F. Austin for multiple seasons before jumping into the recruiting ranks in Columbus last August.

Scott Satterfield has put a heavy emphasis on beefing up recruiting resources, and the Bearcats are pulling them from a fruitful place.

Ohio State has reeled in a top 10 national recruiting class during every cycle over the past decade. Grant is the first general manager in the UC's history, looking to stock Clifton with talent as Big 12 play starts up.
