Report: UC Hiring Army Assistant As Inside Linebackers Coach
CINCINNATI — Scott Satterfield quickly filled his open inside linebackers coach position.
According to Matt Zenitz, UC is hiring Army inside linebackers coach Cortney Braswell to replace Derek Nicholson, who departed for Miami on Tuesday.
Braswell was a defensive quality control coach with Satterfield at Louisville in 2019 and has been the inside linebackers coach at Army for the past two seasons. He spent one season as an assistant inside linebackers coach at Appalachian State before heading to Army.
Add in his experience coaching Tennessee high school football in the last decade, and Braswell brings a diverse background to the position.
Cincinnati is back to having a full staff following the minor hiccup.
