The Athletic Names Cincinnati Offensive Lineman Luke Kandra to College Football Midseason All-Transfer Team

Cincinnati has gotten great play out of the transfer.

CINCINNATI — UC football guard Luke Kandra has excelled since transferring from Louisville this offseason and it earned him a spot on The Athletic's Midseason All-Transfer team across all of college football.

Kandra sports a 76.4 Pro Football Focus grade this season, the highest of any UC player who's logged at least 250 snaps.

"Kandra began his career at Louisville and went home to Cincinnati, following his coaching staff," Max Olson wrote. "The 6-4, 314-pound junior has been a valuable leader in the transition and one of the top guards in the Big 12, surrendering only one sack and helping pave the way for a top-20 rushing offense."

If the rest of Cincinnati's offensive line can start playing near Kandra's level, then the offense will produce a lot more consistently down the stretch of the season.
