UC Narrowly Outside Major Polls Heading Into Battle for the Victory Bell

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bearcats are just outside the top 25 in both major polls this week after their historic offensive beatdown of Kennesaw State. UC is ranked 27th in the Coaches and AP Polls after winning 63-10 on Saturday.

At this rate, Luke Fickell's crew should be ranked by the end of the non-conference schedule if they handle business against Miami and Indiana—where they are favored by 21 points to beat the RedHawks, on top of an 89% ESPN FPI chance to beat IU.

Analytically, UC is still well thought of, sitting at 12th on Bill Connelly's SP+ and 27th on the Fremeau Efficiency Index ratings.
