Cincinnati Submits RFQ Extension for new Athletic Center

The project is estimated to cost $70 million.

CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati submitted a Request for Qualifications regarding their new indoor practice facility and the athlete performance center this week. It detailed a plan to complete the IPF by August 2024 and the APF by July 2025.

According to Building Cincy, the project will cost around $70 million and time out well with a move into the Big 12. Cincinnati is entering the conference no later than 2024-25 and could join sooner.

The school is building the project on the current site of the Sheakley Athletic Center. This new RFQ extended the Jan. 25 deadline to Feb. 15. The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission has until that date to respond.
