CINCINNATI — Former Bearcat and AAC Player of the Year Gary Clark has a more permanent home in the NBA. The New Orleans Pelicans signed Clark to a two-way deal after releasing him last week.

Clark was called up from the G League last month and has done enough to impress the Pelicans' front office. He was on a non-guaranteed contract, but his checks are now secure through the rest of the season after averaging 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in eight games (11.9 MPG) with NOLA.

Clark, 27, went undrafted in 2018, and he has experience playing with the Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers.

The forward averaged 10.5 points and 8.1 rebounds at Cincinnati from 2015-18. He is third in program history with 1,132 rebounds and played the second-most games of any player behind Sean Kilpatrick.

He joins Moeller HS grad Jaxson Hayes and former Xavier guard Naji Marshall as players with Cincinnati ties on the Pelicans' roster.
