CINCINNATI — Wes Miller and the Bearcats got in on the ground floor with a pair of 2024 prospects, all while the football team offered a Top-10 2024 tight end. Here's the latest Recruiting Roundup, starting with four-star tight end Walter Matthews out of Hiram (Ga.).

According to 247Sports, Matthews is the 166th-ranked recruit in 2024 and the ninth-best tight end. He now holds two other offers from Tennessee and Georgia State as Cincinnati gets to work early in his recruitment. Check out his highlights here.

The basketball team added to its list by offering 2024 center Peyton Marshall out of Kell (Ga.)

Marshall isn't ranked on a database currently but he is starting to drum up interest. All four of his offers came down the pipeline between now and and this past Monday. The others came from Tennessee State, Missouri, and Auburn. Check out his highlights here.

The trio of offers rounds out with 2024 forward Chase McCarty.

McCarty, like Marshall, is not ranked and Cincinnati is his first major D1 offer after showing out at the Under Armour Rise Circuit over the weekend. Wes Miller is the first coach to offer the Atlanta native and that could go a long way 15-18 months from now.

"McCarty is a 6-foot-6 wing forward with ideal length and weight to his frame," 247Sports's Brandon Jenkins wrote. "Right now, his game is based on transitional finishes, strong attacks in the halfcourt, and spot-up threes. His length and bounce give him the upside to be a good two-way prospect with a high major chance if his skill level continues to come along."
