Shahn Alston Planning Visit And More With Cincinnati Bearcats

A notable name in the 2026 class.

TUNNEL HILL — The Cincinnati Bearcats recently sent out an offer to 2026 running back prospect and current three-star (Rivals 15th-best Ohio propsect) talent Shahn Alston.

Alston is an in-state prospect from Harvey High School and measures in at around 5-foot-9 and 197 pounds.

“This offer means a lot,” Alston said to Bearcats Talk. “It’s a true testament to my hard work! It’s also an Ohio School which is also a good thing.” As mentioned earlier he is an in-state prospect which is typically a plus for recruiting. The RB coach (Coach Sean Dawkins) offered me. The coach really emphasized how he loved my game and was impressed with my character. We talked about some of the benefits of Cincinnati and towards the end of the conversation, he informed me that I was getting offered.”

He hopes to visit and is eyeballing a specific date.

“Yes, I do plan on getting down sometime in the spring. Looking at April 10th but no for sure date," Alston said. "I will take all the schools that offer me into consideration, but I’m looking forward to building a relationship with the coaching staff and learning more about the school! Those two things will ultimately help me identify who would be a top school for me.”

He dove deeper into building a relationship and strong bond with the staff.

“I believe like those bonds are really important," Alston declared. "In addition to that, learning what the school can offer whether that’s life after football, player development, academics, etc. Like I said earlier it is an Ohio School so it’s close to home (my sister also attends the school) I don’t know too much because I haven’t visited yet. I look forward to giving a more in-depth answer following my visit.”
