How to Watch: Georgia Basketball vs Ohio State, NIT Tournament

Georgia's men's basketball team travels to Ohio State to face off in the third round of the 2024 NIT tournament.

Georgia’s men’s basketball team will be looking to extend their season by another game tonight as they take on Ohio State in the third round of the NIT tournament. Head coach Mike White and his team defeated Xavier at home in the first round and then Wake Forest on the road on Sunday to reach this point.

Georgia was tabbed as a four-seed before the start of the tournament while the Buckeyes slid in as a two-seed. Ohio State holds a 22-13 record while the Bulldogs sit at 19-16. The Buckeyes are currently listed as 8.5-point favorites.

The Bulldogs have had an up-and-down year in their second year under Coach White. A rocky slate of conference opponents this season ran them out of contention for March Madness, but they still managed to win their first SEC tournament game which helped land them a spot in the NIT tournament.

As for Ohio State, their two NIT wins came against Cornell and Virginia Tech. Guard Bruce Thontonis their leading scorer, averaging 15.8 points per game this season.

Georgia is currently averaging 74.8 points per game with Noah Thomasson leading the team in scoring with an average of 12.9 points per game.
