College football’s penultimate week of regular season action sees a mix of college football playoff implications games and teams playing easier opponents right before rivalry weekend next week. While we know most of our readers attention will be on KU/K-State, there are some other tasty options for your viewing pleasure. We dive into some of the best matchups of the weekend.

22 Utah at 17 Arizona, 1:30 PM Pac-12 Network

Arizona is on an absolute tear. They’ve won four in a row including two over ranked teams and now have another stiff task in their way in the Utah Utes. In a preview of future Big XII teams, this game could be one of the tightest of the weekend, with the point spread fluctuating between zero and one point for the majority of the week. If you can find the Pac-12 network, this is the best bet to start your day.

1 Georgia at 18 Tennessee, 2:30 PM CBS

The Georgia Bulldogs leapfrogged everyone on their way to the top spot in the CFP and they open as heavy favorites to win against Tennessee. Their place in the SEC championship game already assured, the Bulldogs will look to finetune things in the coming weeks before their big showdown against Alabama in Atlanta. Tennessee will look to rebound after getting absolutely throttled by Missouri over the weekend.

5 Washington at 11 Oregon State, 6:30 PM ABC

What does Washington have to do to get into the Top 4 of the College Football Playoff? They’ve beaten three ranked teams (Michigan, Ohio State and Florida State have beaten four ranked teams combined) as well as the aforementioned resurgent Arizona squad and still can’t crack the Top 4. The Huskies get another crack at a highly rated team as they venture to Corvallis to take on the Beavers of Oregon State who are actually favored by the bet makers to win this game. It will be very interesting if Washington goes on the road as underdogs, wins, and is still on the outside looking in the next time the rankings are revealed.

7 Texas at Iowa State, 7:00 PM Fox

By the time Texas kicks off on Saturday evening, things could be close to wrapped up as far as a Big XII title game appearance is concerned. But for that to happen, a lot has to go the way of the Longhorns. They can help their own cause with a win over the Cyclones in Ames and Quinn Ewers is back for Texas as they have their fate in their own hands as the lone one loss team in the conference. Can ISU play spoiler and set up a wild last weekend of regular season action? The Longhorns are a touchdown favorite on the road in what is likely to be a crazy environment in Ames.
