Standout 2025 Texas Athlete Daylan McCutcheon Set For First Visit To Notre Dame

Notre Dame is doing their best to hopefully close on 2024 Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy linebacker Payton Pierce, who is near the top of their linebacker board in the class. He isn’t the only Lovejoy standout who is on the Irish radar. The staff is also taking notice of 2025 standout wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon.

The talented pass catcher informed Irish Breakdown that he will be making the trip up to South Bend on April 7th. That will be McCutcheon’s first visit to campus.

McCutcheon has already begun pulling in a series of impressive offers so far. Some of the notable programs who have extended offers include Miami, Oklahoma, Penn State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Tennessee, South Carolina, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Baylor, West Virginia, Purdue and Cal among others.

The 6-0, 175-pound pass catcher is considered a four-star recruit and currently sits as the No. 96 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class according to Rivals.

The Texas native has also set up a series of other visits this off-season. As of right now, the plan is to visit Oklahoma (3/25), Arkansas (4/1) and Purdue (4/8). It promises to be a very busy couple of months for McCutcheon.

It’s hard to ignore the impact that Chansi Stuckey and the offensive had on the state of Texas in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Just at wide receiver, the staff signed three Lone Star pass catchers in Jaden Greathouse, Kaleb Smith and Braylon James. They might look to continue that momentum with McCutcheon in the future.
