Notre Dame Commits Continue Dominance In Week Seven

It was a disappointing weekend for Notre Dame, falling to Louisville on the road by a score of 33-20. There were much better performances from the future of Irish football on the high school level.

Here are the top performances from Irish commits this past week. Despite the bump on the road, the future is bright. That is exemplified by how the commits performed this week.

QB CJ CARR, SALINE (Mich.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Saline 31, Lincoln 0

Saline absolutely dominated Lincoln, who came into the game with an undefeated record. Carr didn’t have his best game, completing 17 of 36 passes for 185, two touchdowns and one interception. He also added another two scores on the ground during the victory.

QB DEUCE KNIGHT (2025), LUCEDALE (Miss.) GEORGE COUNTY

RESULT: George County 48, Long Beach 7

George County put together a decisive victory on Friday, defeating Long Beach 48-7. Knight accounted for four total touchdowns on the day. They included 7 of 9 passes for 134 yards and three scores through the air. In two games since rejoining the team, Knight has scored seven total touchdowns.

RB ANEYAS WILLIAMS, HANNIBAL (Mo.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Hannibal 28, Moberly 8

Williams continued his historic career, rewriting the Missouri record book. On Friday, he accounted for all of the scoring, putting the ball in the end zone four times. He is now up to 125 touchdowns in his career.

RB JUSTIN THURMAN (2025), TAMPA BAY (Fla.) JESUIT

RESULT: Jesuit 36, Bishop Verot 29

Thurman has started to get things rolling after a slow start to the season. The Florida speedster accounted for 161 total yards and two touchdowns on the night. He made plays both in the run game and as a pass receiver in the big victory over Bishop Verot.

WR CAM WILLIAMS, GLEN ELLYN (Ill.) GLENBARD SOUTH

RESULT: Glenbard South 48, West Chicago 6

Williams hauled in yet another touchdown during the team’s 48-6 dominant victory over West Chicago. The Illinois star continues to show off his five-star talent. He has had just a tremendous senior campaign so far.

WR MICAH GILBERT, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

RESULT: Charlotte Christian 17, Christ School 6

Gilbert continued his fantastic senior campaign on Friday, hauling in 10 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown during the team’s 17-6 victory over Christ School. In seven games, Gilbert has now pulled in 60 receptions for 777 yards and six touchdowns.

OT STYLES PRESCOD, FISHERS (Ind.) HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN

RESULT: Hamilton Southeastern 19, Franklin Central 3

Hamilton Southeastern moved to 7-1 on the season after their 19-3 victory over Franklin Central. On Friday, Precod and the team are set to travel to a very talented Brownsburg (8-0) team. It will be a massive matchup.

OL ANTHONIE KNAPP, ROSWELL (Ga.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Roswell 84, Lassiter 6

Roswell put together a silly offensive outburst during their 84-6 victory over Lassiter. Knapp and his talented offense totaled 550 yards and nine offensive touchdowns. On Friday, Roswell will welcome a struggling Pope (0-6) squad to town.

DE BRYCE YOUNG, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

RESULT: Charlotte Christian 17, Christ School 6

Young continues to dominate for Charlotte Christian. During their 17-6 win over Christ School, Young collected seven total tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and a pass breakup. Young is now up to 60 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and eight sacks in seven games. He has also posted another eight quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two more fumble recoveries.

DE LOGHAN THOMAS, LAKEWOOD (Ohio) ST. EDWARD

RESULT: St. Edward 35, Clarkson North 15

Thomas notched two sacks during the 35-15 victory over Clarkson North, including a forced fumble. On Saturday, St. Edward will take on Archbishop Moeller at home. That means fellow Irish commit Karson Hobbs will face off against Thomas.

DE CJ MAY, HIGHLAND HOME (Al.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Highland Home 60, Luverne 0

May had another tremendous game on Friday during their dismantling performance against Luverne. The junior star collected five total tackles, two sacks and three more quarterback hurries. May also hauled in an interception, broke up a pass, forced and recovered a fumble during the game. He was utterly dominant.

DE JOSEPH REIFF, ELMHURST (Ill.) YORK

RESULT: Glenbard West 28, York 7

York suffered their first loss of the season on Friday, falling to Glenbard West 28-7. Reiff and his talented squad look forward to get things back on track against Lyons (5-2) on Saturday.

DT SEAN SEVILLANO, CLEARWATER ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL

RESULT: Clearwater Academy 34, Gray Collegiate Academy 27

Sevillano continues to put together a season for the ages on the defensive side of the football. In his team’s most recent victory, Sevillano collected 15 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and one sack. He now has 42 tackles for loss and nine sacks so far this season.

LB KYNGSTONN VILIAMU-ASA, BELLFLOWER (Calif.) ST. JOHN BOSCO

RESULT: St. John Bosco 56, Servite 27

St. John Bosco won in decisive fashion on Friday, defeating Servite 56-27. The defense gave up just 282 yards of offense against one of the better programs in California. The Braves head into a big week or action, welcoming Mater Dei (7-0) to town on Friday night.

LB TEDDY REZAC, OMAHA (Neb.) WESTSIDE

RESULT: Westside 56, Kearney 0

Westside continued their dominance on Friday, destroying previous undefeated Kearney 56-0. Rezac hauled in an interception during the victory. He also had two total tackles, as well as two receptions for 26 yards on the offensive side of the football.

CB KARSON HOBBS, CINCINNATI (Ohio) ARCHBISHOP MOELLER

RESULT: Archbishop Moeller 47, St. Ignatius 7

After a rough start to the season, Archbishop Moeller has now won four straight games. They are led by Hobbs, who is quietly having a tremendous season. He was targeted just three times against St. Ignatius, which resulted in three pass breakups.

CB LEONARD MOORE, ROUND ROCK (Texas) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Round Rock 42, Manor 13

Moore hauled in an interception during Round Rock’s 42-13 dominating victory over Manor. The talented defender also collected a tackle, one reception for 11 yards and a 20 yard kickoff return. It wasn’t a flashy night but Moore had a band in every aspect of the victory.

S TAEBRON BENNIE-POWELL, WEST CHESTER (Ohio) LAKOTA WEST

RESULT: Lakota West 34, Lakota East 0

For the second straight week, Bennie-Powell reached the end zone. This time was on a blocked punt, which he scooped and scored for a touchdown. The senior has been a big reason that Lakota West has won six straight games after beginning the year 0-2.

S KENNEDY URLACHER, CHANDLER (Ariz.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Centennial 29, Chandler 28

Chandler fell short on Friday, falling to Centennial 29-28. Despite the loss, Urlacher put together a tremendous performance. He finished with a season high ten total tackles during the game.
