Notre Dame Commits Continue Dominant Play During Week Three

Notre Dame football had a big weekend, defeating NC State 45-24 in dominant fashion. The future of the Irish program was also on display over the last few days, with some of their top commits turning in tremendous performances.

Let’s recap those games, big plays and overall impact. Notre Dame was well represented all the way around this weekend.

QB CJ CARR, SALINE (Mich.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Saline 56, Pioneer 0

Saline continued their winning ways against Pioneer on Friday, winning by a 56-0 margin. Despite playing about a half of football, Carr went 13-15 for 155 yards and rushed for another 47 yards, throwing for three touchdowns and adding another on the ground.

The Michigan signal caller continues to dazzle with his surprising dual threat ability. Carr has been stellar through three games thus far.

RB KEDREN YOUNG, LUFKIN (Texas) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Lufkin 24, A&M Consolidated 17

Young continues to be nearly impossible to stop on the ground.

During his team’s 24-17 victory on Friday, he rushed for 226 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. 149 of those yards came in the fourth quarter alone.

RB ANEYAS WILLIAMS, HANNIBAL (Mo.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Hannibal 34, Troy-Buchanan 28

Hannibal needed Williams to be the workhorse this past Friday, and he was exactly that. The senior rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns during the 34-28 victory. He did so on 40 total carries on the ground.

RB JUSTIN THURMAN (2025), TAMPA BAY (Fla.) JESUIT

RESULT: Columbus 42, Jesuit 14

It’s been a struggle for the Jesuit offense over the last couple of games. So far the offense hasn’t been able to run the football well. Thurman will hope to help jump start the run game in two weeks when they take on Armwood (3-0) at home.

WR CAM WILLIAMS, GLEN ELLYN (Ill.) GLENBARD SOUTH

RESULT: Glenbard South 35, Larkin 0

Williams continued his dominant senior campaign on Friday, hauling in seven receptions for 189 yards and three touchdowns during the team’s 35-0 victory. The elite pass catcher also made his impact felt on defense, hauling in an interception.

If your recruiting platform doesn’t have Williams as a five-star, rethink your process.

WR MICAH GILBERT, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

RESULT: Calvary Day 41, Charlotte Christian 10

Charlotte Christian fell in decisive fashion to Calvary Day on Friday 41-10. That was despite another tremendous outing from Gilbert who hauled in 10 receptions for 120 yards. So far on the season, the talented pass catcher has collected 34 receptions for 500 yards and four touchdowns.

WR LOGAN SALDATE, SALINAS (Calif.) PALMA

Result: Yuma Catholic 14, Palma 0

It was a defensive game that Palma came out on the wrong end of a 14-0 loss to Yuma Catholic. Their offense was largely ineffective on the day, throwing for just 57 yards as an offense. Saldate will hope to get back on track when they travel to Alisal (3-0) next Friday.

TE JACK LARSEN, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CATHOLIC

All Larsen does is catch touchdowns. He did so again during the team’s 29-0 victory over South Mecklenburg, scoring his fifth of the season.

On the day, Larsen made three receptions for 47 yards during the victory.

OT ANTHONIE KNAPP, ROSWELL (Ga.) HIGH SCHOOL

RESULT: Milton 34, Roswell 14

Roswell suffered their first loss of the season, losing to Milton 34-14 on Friday. It was still a solid offensive performance for the Hornets, going for 388 total yards and 17 first downs. Knapp and his crew just weren’t able to capitalize enough against a very tough Milton squad.

OT STYLES PRESCOD, FISHERS (Ind.) HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN

RESULT: Hamilton Southeastern 35, Fishers 34

In cross town rivals put together an exciting showing during the Hamilton Southeastern 35-34 victory. After Fishers fell behind early in that contest, they scored 21 second half points to send it to overtime. Prescod and his talented crew were able to edge Fishers in overtime for a big win.

OL PETER JONES, MALVERN (Pa.) PREP

RESULT: Malvern Prep 20, Delbarton 17

Malvern Prep was able to hold on to a 20-17 victory over Delbarton on Friday. The final score was not very indicative of how decisive this victory was for Friars.

DE BRYCE YOUNG, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

RESULT: Calvary Day 41, Charlotte Christian 10

It was a quiet day for Young compared to recent games, as he collected six total tackles during the team’s 41-10 loss. On the season, the talented defender has 35 total tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks. Young also has a forced fumble on the season.

DE LOGHAN THOMAS, LAKEWOOD (Ohio) ST. EDWARD

The back-to-back state champions look poised for a date with destiny later this year. Thomas and the team will be opposed by a talented Washington (4-0) squad on Friday.

DT SEAN SEVILLANO JR., CLEARWATER (Fla.) ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL

RESULT: Benjamin 27, Clearwater Academy International 21

LB KYNGSTONN VILIAMU-ASA, BELLFLOWER (Calif.) ST. JOHN BOSCO

RESULT: St. John Bosco 37, St. Frances 14

On a weekly basis, St. John Bosco faces some of the top teams in all of high school football and it doesn’t matter. They took care of business once again on Friday, dominating St. Frances Academy by a score of 37-14.

Viliamu-Asa is a monster on the Brave defense, which is filled with stars on every level. During this contest, St. John Bosco also used Viliamu-Asa on the offensive side of the football. He chipped into the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown reception as well.

LB BODIE KAHOUN, ROANOKE (Va.) PATRICK HENRY

That recovery was returned by Kahoun for a touchdown in the decisive victory.

LB TEDDY REZAC, OMAHA (Neb.) WESTSIDE

RESULT: Westside 45, Bellevue West 12

Rezac played like a man possessed during the team’s 45-12 victory over Bellevue West on Friday. From his safety position, he collected nine total tackles, two tackles for loss and broke up a pass. It was Rezac’s best game of the season so far.

CB KARSON HOBBS, CINCINNATI (Ohio) ARCHBISHOP MOELLER

RESULT: Center Grove 35, Archbishop Moeller 34

The early season struggles continued for Archbishop Moeller, who fell to Indiana power Center Grove 35-34 in overtime. The Crusader defense had a lot of positive moments on the day, led by Hobbs who was facing one of the top quarterbacks in the country in Duke commit Tyler Cherry.

Center Grove threw for just 186 yards on the day, with the Archbishop Moeller secondary really making things difficult. Hobbs had a pass breakup on the day, although the was rarely challenged in the passing game.

CB LEONARD MOORE, ROUND ROCK (Texas) HS

RESULT: Cedar Park 28, Round Rock 24

Despite a 28-24 loss to Cedar Park, Moore was an absolute star on Thursday night. On defense, the talented cornerback recorded eight total tackles and broke up two passes. Moore also returned one punt for 57 yards on the night.
