Notre Dame Commits Set For Week Five Action

Notre Dame has their biggest test of the season on Saturday with their battle against undefeated Ohio State. The future of the Irish program will also be on full display over the next couple of days, with several important games littered across high school football.

Here is every Notre Dame commit that will be in action. It promises to be another exciting week of victories, big performances and thrilling matchups.

QB CJ CARR, SALINE (Mich.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Saline (4-0) vs Monroe (3-1) (Saline, Mich.)

Game Time: Friday (9/22) at 7:00 PM ET

Carr continued his hot streak last Friday defeating Bedford 48-0 in dominant fashion. In the victory, he completed 16-25 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. The Michigan signal caller all added two more scores on the ground and had zero turnovers.

Saline will host Monroe (3-1) at home on Friday night.

RB KEDREN YOUNG, LUFKIN (Texas) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Lufkin (3-1) vs Forney (4-0) (Lufkin, Texas)

Game Time: Friday (9/22) at 7:30 PM ET

Lufkin suffered his first loss of the season against Longview, falling 42-0 last Friday. Young has gotten off to a great start to the season but was held out of the end zone in this loss. Young finished with 64 yards in the loss. The team will host Forney (4-0) on Friday night.

RB ANEYAS WILLIAMS, HANNIBAL (Mo.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Hannibal (3-1) at Mexico (1-3) (Mexico, Mo.)

Game Time: Friday (9/22) at 7:00 PM ET

Williams did not receive a carry during Hannibal’s 77-6 victory over Fulton last Friday. The team was leading 63-0 at half time so his impact wasn’t needed offensively. The dynamic runner did return a punt 75 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.

The Hannibal squad will travel to a struggling Mexico (1-3) on Friday.

RB JUSTIN THURMAN, TAMPA BAY (Fla.) JESUIT

Matchup: Jesuit (1-2) vs Armwood (3-0) (Tampa Bay, Fla.)

After a bye week, Thurman and Tampa Jesuit are hoping to get back on track after two straight losses. They will be opposed by a strong Armwood (3-0) squad. Thurman has been slow to get going so far this season and is hoping for a big performance on Friday.

WR CAM WILLIAMS, GLEN ELLYN (Ill.) GLENBARD SOUTH

Matchup: Glenbard South (4-0) vs Bartlett (2-2) (Glen Ellyn, Ill.)

Williams had another big day last Friday during the team’s 57-6 victory over Streamwood. The Senior pass catcher hauled in eight receptions for 118 yards and three touchdowns. On Friday, they look to continue their winning streak against Bartlett (2-2).

WR LOGAN SALDATE, SALINAS (Calif.) PALMA

Matchup: Palma (3-1) vs Monterey (3-0) (Salinas, Calif.)

Saldate hauled in a 76-yard touchdown reception during the team’s 42-15 victory over Alisal last Friday. On the day, the talented pass catcher hauled in two receptions for 87 yards and that touchdown.

The talented pass catcher looks to continue his big senior season against Monterey (3-0) at home.

WR MICAH GILBERT, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

Matchup: Charlotte Christian (3-1) at Cabarrus (3-1) (Concord, N.C.)

After a bye week, Charlotte Christian looks to get back in the win column. Offensively, they will be led by Gilbert, who is having a tremendous season so far. He has hauled in 34 receptions for 500 yards and four touchdowns in four contests.

TE JACK LARSEN, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CATHOLIC

Matchup: Charlotte Catholic (4-1) vs Independence (2-2) (Charlotte, N.C.)

Game Time: Friday (9/22) at 7 PM ET

Larsen put together a tremendous performance during the team’s 29-22 win over Providence last Friday. He hauled in six receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. During Charlotte Catholic’s final drive to win the game, Larsen hauled in three receptions for 49 yards including the game winning score.

Look for Larsen to once again be a focal of the passing attack against Independence (2-2) at home.

OL STYLES PRESCOD, FISHERS (Ind.) HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN

Matchup: Hamilton Southeastern (4-1) at Zionsville (3-2) (Zionsville, Ind.)

Game Time: Friday (9/22) at 7:00 PM ET

Despite running 11 less plays than Westfield, Hamilton Southeastern outgained them last Friday and had more first downs (19 to 18). Prescod and his crew fell 30 to 28 but the talented offensive tackle continued his standout senior season.

They look to get back to their winning ways on Friday night against Zionsville (3-2).

OL GUERBY LAMBERT, WEST ROXBURY (Mass.) CATHOLIC MEMORIAL

Matchup: Catholic Memorial (1-1) vs St. Francis (0-3) (West Roxbury, Mass.)

The newest member of the 2024 recruiting class, Lambert now is eyeing a big victory on Saturday against a struggling St. Francis (0-3) team. Manning the right tackle position, keep an eye on Lambert’s abilities in both the run and pass game.

OL ANTHONIE KNAPP, ROSWELL (Ga.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Roswell (3-1) at Johns Creek (1-3) (Johns Creek, Ga.)

After a tough loss to Milton 34-14 two weeks ago, Roswell had a bye week to get everything back on track. Knapp and his talented squad will be traveling to Johns Creek (1-3) on Friday night with expectations to get back in the win column.

OL PETER JONES, MALVERN (Pa.) PREP

Matchup: Malvern Prep (2-1) vs Rock Creek Christian (2-2) (Malvern, Pa.)

Malvern Prep fell in decisive fashion against Imhotep Charter 24-14 last Friday. Jones and his talented squad hope to get back to their winning ways against Rock Creek Christian (1-2) on Friday.

DE BRYCE YOUNG, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN

Matchup: Charlotte Christian (3-1) at Cabarrus (3-1) (Concord, N.C.)

After a bye week, Charlotte Christian looks to get back in the win column. Defensively, they will be led by Young, who has been dominant so far as a senior. The talented defender has recorded 35 total tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks so far through four games.

DE LOGHAN THOMAS, LAKEWOOD (Ohio) ST. EDWARD

Matchup: St. Edward (4-0) vs River Rouge (1-3) (Lakewood, Ohio)

It was a tough hard fought loss last Friday night for St. Edward. They fell to Washington 15-13. Thomas was largely neutralized by a talented Washington squad who stayed mostly on the ground. The senior defender did still manage to make 12 total stops, although none came behind the line of scrimmage. This Saturday they will look to avenge their loss against River Rouge (1-3) at home.

DT SEAN SEVILLANO, CLEARWATER ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL

DT DAVION DIXON (2025), MIAMI (Fla.) PALMETTO

Matchup: Clearwater Academy (0-4 ) at Miami Palmetto (3-1) (Miami. Fla.)

Columbus got off to a fast start last Friday, scoring 15 points in the first half. It was a defensive game from there, seeing no scoring in the second half. On Friday, they will take on fellow Irish commit Sean Sevillano and Clearwater Academy International (0-3).

Sevillano has been having a tremendous season so far. Through four games, he has collected 23 tackles for loss and six sacks.

LB BODIE KAHOUN, ROANOKE (Va.) PATRICK HENRY

Matchup: Patrick Henry (4-0) at Salem (3-1) (Salem, Va.)

Kahoun is having a tremendous senior season so far. That fantastic play continued against Fleming during the team’s 27-19 victory over Fleming last Friday. The Virginia defender collected 16 total tackles (11 solo, 5 assists), three tackles for loss, a sack and returned a block punt for a touchdown.

On Friday, Patrick Henry will travel to Salem (3-1) to take on Tennessee Commit Peyton Lewis and Georgia commit Chris Cole.

LB TEDDY REZAC, OMAHA (Neb.) WESTSIDE

Matchup: Westside (4-0) at Norfolk (3-1) (Norfolk, Neb.)

Rezac did not play during his team’s 49-7 victory over Millard North last Friday. Westside (4-0) will travel to Norfolk (3-1) on Friday.

CB KARSON HOBBS, CINCINNATI (Ohio) ARCHBISHOP MOELLER

Matchup: Archbishop Moeller (2-3) vs La Salle (4-1) (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Archbishop Moeller put together a tremendous performance last Friday, defeating St. Xavier 20-10. Hobbs put together a dominant individual effort. The talented cornerback hauled in an interception during the game, as well as a strip sack that was returned for a touchdown.

They hope to hold momentum against La Salle (4-1) on Friday night.

S TAEBRON BENNIE-POWELL, WEST CHESTER (Ohio) LAKOTA WEST

Matchup: Lakota West (3-2) at Sycamore (3-2) Cincinnati, Ohio)

Lakota West continued their winning ways last Friday, defeating Colerain 38-7. That was their third straight victory, pushing their record 3-2 overall on the season. Bennie-Powell has put together a really nice start to the season, making a ton of plays on the back end.

Bennie-Powell hopes to continue his impact on Friday at home against Sycamore (3-2).

S KENNEDY URLACHER, CHANDLER (Ariz.) HIGH SCHOOL

Matchup: Chandler (4-0) vs Highland (3-1) (Chandler, Ariz.)

Urlacher recorded just one tackle against Corona del Sol during their 42-0 victory last Friday and also pulled in an interception. His services weren’t needed in this decision win, only playing in one half of football. Chandler (4-0) will take on Highland (3-1) at home on Friday.

S BRAUNTAE JOHNSON, FORT WAYNE (Ind.) NORTH SIDE

Matchup: North Side (2-3) vs Bishop Luers (3-2) (Fort Wayne, Ind.)

Game Time: Friday (9/22) at 7 PM ET

North Side dominated Northrop last Friday 38-6. At quarterback, Johnson completed 13 of 17 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson also rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, that’s an average of nine yards per carry.

This has been a completely different North Side squad since Johnson returned from injury a couple of weeks ago. They will be hosting Bishop Luers (3-2) on Friday.
