Notre Dame Recruiting Visits vs USC - Offense Edition

With Notre Dame battling USC this weekend, it is set to be a very important couple of days from a recruiting perspective. On the offensive side, there are some very important 2025 targets set to be on campus.

The Irish staff is also going to be hosting the majority of offensive commits in the 2024 and 2025 classes this weekend, which should be a huge boost to help the recruiting momentum. Here is everyone expected to be on campus, including where things currently stand heading into the visit.

2024 OFFENSIVE COMMITS ON CAMPUS

Notre Dame has nearly every offensive recruit in the 2024 class expected to be on campus except for offensive lineman Guerby Lambert and Peter Jones. With the 2024 group mostly solidified, this trip will be more about growing relationships in the class.

Here is the list of 2024 offensive recruits expected on campus:

QB CJ Carr - Saline (Mich.) High School
RB Kedren Young - Lufkin (Texas) High School
RB Aneyas Williams - Hannibal (Mo.) High School
WR Cam Williams - Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard South
WR Micah Gilbert - Charlotte (N.C.) Christian
WR Logan Saldate - Salinas (Calif.) Palma
TE Jack Larsen - Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic
OL Styles Prescod - Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern
OL Anthonie Knapp - Roswell (Ga.) High School

2025 OFFENSIVE COMMITS ON CAMPUS

Notre Dame also has two important 2025 offensive commits who will be on campus. The emphasis on the weekend will be heavily on the 2025 targets, so having this duo around will be huge.

QB Deuce Knight - Lucedale (Miss.) George County
RB Justin Thurman - Tampa Bay (Fla.) Jesuit

KEY OFFENSIVE TARGETS

Here is every 2025 offensive target set to visit South Bend this weekend. It is an impressive group, with several sitting as priority recruits for the Irish.

RB James Simon - Shreveport (Louis.) Calvary Baptist Academy

This will be the first visit to campus for Simon, who is one of the top running backs in the 2025 recruiting class. Notre Dame already has two running backs committed in 2025, including Florida speedster Justin Thurman who will also be on campus. Would the staff take a third? It’s possible that Simon is just too good not to keep recruiting.

WR Jerome Bettis Jr. - Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy

The son of former Notre Dame running back of the same name, Bettis has loved the program for a long time. They have been the clear favorites for the Georgia pass catcher for some time but Bettis hasn’t wanted to rush anything. Whenever he does make the decision, Notre Dame will be in it until the end.

WR Daylan McCutcheon - Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy

This will be McCutcheon’s second trip to campus, the first coming this offseason. Notre Dame continues to be among the top group for McCutcheon, who is hearing from a long list of impressive suitors. They are hoping to continue their impact in the state of Texas moving forward.

WR Koby Howard - Davie (Fla.) Western

For the first time in over a year, Howard will be making the trip to South Bend. The Florida native is coming off of a leg injury that cost him his sophomore campaign. Howard is now fully healthy and recruiting is beginning to heat up again. It will be interesting to see how closely the relationship develops with Notre Dame this weekend.

TE James Flanigan - Green Bay (Wisc.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy

The son of former Irish defensive lineman Jim Flanigan, the star tight end has been high on their list for some time. Flanigan is a player that Notre Dame wants, and they will be a tough school to beat in the end. This recruitment has been trending in a very positive direction.

OL Owen Strebig - Waukesha (Wisc.) Catholic Memorial

This will be Strebig’s fifth time on campus, which speaks to his interest level. Notre Dame has been the assumed leader for a couple of months now. Strebig has said that he wants to wait until after the season and official visits to make a decision. It will be interesting if that changes at any point.

OL Easton Ware - Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy

A new member to the offensive line board, Ware was offered in late September. This will be a return visit for Ware, who camped at Notre Dame this summer. The Virginia native has seen a huge recruiting bump over the last couple of months.

There will also be another talented 2025 tight end on campus this weekend in Goodland (Kan.) High School star Linkon Cure. While Cure does not currently hold an offer from the Irish, there has been substantial contact recently. Don’t be surprised if one is extended during the visit.
