Notre Dame Recruiting: Visit Preview vs. Ohio State - Offense Edition

In this story:
When Notre Dame battles Ohio State this weekend at home, it signifies the biggest test for the 2023 squad so far. It will also be Notre Dame’s biggest recruiting weekend of the season.
The Irish staff is expecting around 40 recruits to make the trip to campus. The offensive targets are especially intriguing, including several targets who Notre Dame is pushing for big time. Here are all the names to know.
KEY 2025 OFFENSIVE TARGETS
The list of offensive recruits set to make the trip to South Bend this weekend is extraordinary. Nearly every position is represented and in most cases, there is a key target set to be on campus.
Notre Dame received a big commitment from Tampa Bay speedster Justin Thurman. The wish is to add a second running back in the 2025 class, with Bryant (Ark.) High School standout Daniel Anderson on the short list. The Irish enter the weekend in a great position with the talented runner. They should be viewed as the front runner.
There is a flurry of talented pass catcher set to make the trip in Geneva (Ill.) Community star Talyn Taylor, Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy legacy Jerome Bettis Jr. and Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep standout Cooper Perry. Taylor is widely considered the top wide receiver on the 2025 board and Notre Dame is in a nice position early on. It’s hard to also not like the chances for both Bettis and Perry in the end.
The offensive line has a great argument for the top group of targets of any position on campus this weekend. They are led by Waukesha (Wisc.) Catholic Memorial standout Owen Strebig, who the Irish have been in great position with for some time now. Both Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick School star Matty Augustine and Wautoma (Wisc.) High School offensive tackle Michael Roeske are toolsy offensive lineman who earned offers when they camped in South Bend this off-season.
Notre Dame is also expecting two recruits on campus who do not currently hold an offer from the program. That includes Rabun Gap (Ga.) Nacoochee tight end Marshall Pritchett, who is the son of former Irish standout Wes Pritchett.
Here is the full list of 2025 offensive recruits being hosted by Notre Dame this weekend.

2026 RECRUITS TO KNOW
There are two 2026 recruits expected to make the trip who are worth watching. One is Lake Mary (Fla.) High School quarterback Noah Grubbs, who is one of the most gifted passers in the 2026 recruiting class. Grubbs is one of five signal callers who have been offered in the class.
The other big name to know is Durham (N.C.) Riverside offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko, who does not currently hold an offer from the Irish. The 6-6, 260-pound blindside protector is considered the No. 22 overall player and No. 5 offensive tackle in the 2026 recruiting class according to 247Sports. His older brother, Nnamdi Ogboko, is committed to the University of Georgia as a defensive tackle.
IRISH COMMITS ON CAMPUS
It’s always great to get Notre Dame commits on campus, especially for these big recruiting weekends. They can help give a big boost to attract some of the uncommitted targets in South Bend.
In total, there are 14 recruits in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes making the trip. That includes 2025 Mississippi quarterback Deuce Knight who committed on Monday. Here are the offensive commits on campus.
