Two former Ohio State Buckeyes led the pack as two of the top five breakout wide receivers of 2023.

Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave represent the Buckeyes as the first- and second-ranked players on the list, compiled by "Good Morning Football" host, Peter Schrager.

Wilson broke the 1,000-receiving-yards mark during his debut season at football's highest level, hauling in 83 receptions and four touchdowns as well.

The native Texan averaged 13.3 yards per catch, which ranked 28th-best in the National Football League (NFL).

The Jets relied on the arms of four different quarterbacks over the 2022 season: Zach Wilson, Mike White, Joe Flacco and Chris Streveler. Things seem stronger at the position entering 2023, with former Green Bay Packer signal-caller Aaron Rodgers set to take things up behind center.

It will be interesting to see how Wilson fares on the receiving end of one of the greatest players in NFL history, and without having to deal with the aforementioned quarterback rotation for another year (knock on wood).

Olave was similarly successful over his rookie campaign as his former teammate, recording 1,042 receiving yards, four touchdowns and a catch rate of over 60%.

The Californian pass-catcher has another thing in common with Wilson, aside from their first-year success and choice of college: a new quarterback for the coming season. The Saints signed Derek Carr to a four-year deal during free agency earlier this offseason.

Carr threw for over 3,500 yards with the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2022 season, which is almost as many as the combined total of New Orleans' three quarterbacks over the same time (3,969).

Rounding out the final three spots on Schrager's list is Drake London (Atlanta Falcons), Tyquan Thornton (New England Patriots) and Justyn Ross (Kansas City Chiefs), in that order.
