Garland (Tex.) Lakeview Centennial four-star cornerback Montre Jackson has locked in an official visit with Pete Golding and the Ole Miss Rebels as the program continues its aggressive pursuit.

Jackson, one of the top defensive backs in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle, is fresh off of an unofficial visit with Ole Miss where he soaked in the scenes of Spring Camp in Oxford.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder has multiple schoools fighting for his commitment with the likes of the Ole Miss Rebels, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Oklahoma Sooners, and Texas Tech Red Raiders, among others, intensifying their push.

Rhett Lashlee and the SMU Mustangs are also contenders in his process with Jackson raving about the Lone Star State program in an interview with Rivals.

“I love the consistent communication and how often the coaches have been coming to see me,, especially Coach Lashlee, who’s been coming to see me and telling me how important I am to this class,” Jackson told Rivals of SMU.

“At SMU, I feel like I can go in and play early and do something for the city. Being from here, as close as I live to SMU, I love the trajectory and the path that they’re on. They’re definitely on an uphill climb.”

But the Ole Miss Rebels aren't shying away from the in-state schools - Texas, SMU, and Texas A&M - as Golding and Co. continue making an impact in his recruitment.

Jackson has now scheduled an official visit with the Ole Miss Rebels where he is set to return to Oxford during the weekend of June 19-21.

In what will be his final official visit of the summer, it sets the stage for the coaching staff in the Magnolia State to make a sizable push for the coveted defensive back out of the Lone Star State.

Now, as the offseason continues, Golding and Co. are battling for the top prospects in America with the staff eyeing Jackson as a critical component to the 2027 Recruiting Class amid a serious pursuit.
