Oregon Ducks Build Preseason NFL Buzz in Newest Mock Draft

In this story:
The Oregon Ducks continue to prepare for their first contest, as they are set to take on the Boise State Broncos on Sep 5. The Ducks are favored to win in Week 1 due to their returning talent on both sides of the ball.
Such talent that has recently been predicted to land with an NFL team in the first round of the upcoming 2027 NFL Draft. SI's Gilberto Manzano shared his first mock draft ahead of the season. Here is who he has making the list from the Ducks' program.
2. Miami Dolphins: Dante Moore, Quarterback, Oregon

It is no shock to see Oregon quarterback Dante Moore selected within the first three picks, as he is the Oregon prospect with arguably the most upside. It is also common for NFL teams to select quarterbacks early in the draft, which many believe the Miami Dolphins will do. Moore trails Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, who was predicted to be selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the mock draft.
The Dolphins' current gunslinger is Malik Willis, who has upside but remains unproven due to his limited snaps as a starter. Willis would likely need a massive season for the Dolphins to consider selecting a different player.
17. Baltimore Ravens: A'Mauri Washington, Defensive Lineman, Oregon

The second Oregon player to fly off the board is defensive lineman A'Mauri Washington. While drafting a defensive lineman prior to pick 20 can be viewed as a reach in most cases, Washington is the notable exception.
Washington has a great gap presence and is brilliant when working against double-teams. While run-stuffing is his primary strength, he is also solid enough to be an average pass rusher. This is a no-brainer for a team like the Ravens, who would likely start the talented lineman in his rookie season.
18. New England Patriots: Jamari Johnson, Tight End, Oregon

The Ducks produce pro-ready tight ends, which was showcased during the draft last season, when Kenyon Sadiq was selected by the New York Jets in the first round. This time, the Ducks have a first-round selection at tight end with Jamari Johnson. Johnson was mocked to be selected with the No. 19 pick of the draft by the New England Patriots.
The Patriots have great weapons, especially now that they added receiver AJ Brown. Johnson at tight end would add a great vertical threat and a solid blocking presence. This could be a home run fit.
19. Minnesota Vikings: Teitum Tuioti, EDGE, Oregon

There arguably isn't a single defensive player with a more feared presence than Teitum Tuioti when it comes to the defensive side of the football. Tuioti finished last season with 9.5 sacks and has been great when it comes to working against even the best offensive tackles in the country.
Tuioti being selected by the Vikings with the No. 20 selection could be a major steal. One could argue that he is deserving to be selected within the top 10, especially if he has a repeat season in 2026.
