Gamecock Target Daniel Hill Announces Top 8
Regarding positions desperately needing added depth, the running back position is at the top of the list for Shane Beamer and the rest of South Carolina's Football coaching staff. In the 2024 cycle, the Gamecocks have set their eyes on multiple prospects for the position, but one name has remained a constant on their board: Daniel Hill.
Hill is as unique of a prospect as they come from the high school football ranks, as he plays running back, wide receiver, and linebacker for Meridian High School in Meridian, MS. South Carolina, however, has made it clear that they want Hill to join the program as a running back. It's clear their entire message has resonated with the rising senior, as the Gamecocks made his Top 8 he released on Sunday evening.
While Hill's Top 8 is laden with SEC programs, the two programs that seem to have the best chance to land the Mississippi native currently are South Carolina and Alabama. Hill has visited the Crimson Tide on ten different occasions and checked out Columbia twice. The Tennessee Volunteers also seem to be a team still in the race, as they'll host Hill for an official visit on June 9th. Alabama and South Carolina will receive official visits on the two weekends after that, in that order.
