Texas A&M Transfer Gets Honest About New-Look Offensive Line

In this story:
One of the biggest questions that has clouded the Texas A&M Aggies throughout the offseason and now well into spring practice is the new look of their offensive line, which is set to lose many key pieces from last year's unit.
And that question has been asked with good reason, as the Aggies lost four out of their five starting offensive linemen from the 2025 season, with the only returning piece of the offensive line being center Mark Nabou Jr.
Head coach Mike Elko and his staff knew of the need and attacked it in the transfer portal over the offseason, bringing in several players out of the portal to reconstruct the Aggies' offensive line, and now one of those transfers is talking about how the reshaped unit is looking.
Wilkin Formby Talks Aggies Offensive Line

A new member of the Texas A&M offensive line, Alabama transfer Wilkin Formby, talked on Thursday about how the Aggies' offensive line is coming together through spring practice, highlighting the difficulty but crediting the coaching staff.
"It's difficult with so many guys who haven't played together, but I think that's a testament to our coach and our coaches here," Formby said. "Being able to put together different lineups every day and be able to gel together."
Along with Formby, the Aggies brought in an additional offensive lineman with experience in the SEC with LSU transfers Tyree Adams and Coen Echols, as well as South Carolina transfer Trovon Baugh, who were brought in to remake the Aggies' offensive line with Nabou Jr. as the returning anchor in the middle.
The Alabama transfer also spoke about the work that the new look offensive line room for the Aggies has put in as they look to come together and grow as a unit over the offseason and into spring practice.
"This dates back to January, when we all first got here, started working out together, training together, that chemistry started then," Formby said. "So each day that we get to practice with each other, we're trying not to take it for granted and just go out and be five as one, as they say."
Formby talked about what he individually brings to the Texas A&M offensive line room as a player who started 14 games a year ago for the Crimson Tide at right tackle and brings with him a total of 1,070 snaps over 27 games.
"I think what I bring to the table in this room specifically is just some experience," Formby said. "We have a younger room, but we also have a room of guys all across the SEC, guys that transferred in, so I'm just trying to bring that and stability to my position and just be able to be consistent each and every day."
