The No. 4 seed TCU Horned Frogs continued to rake at Globe Life Field and advanced to the Big 12 semifinal on Thursday with a 14-4 win over the No. 8 seed Kansas Jayhawks. The Horned Frogs are now 10-5 at Globe Life Field since 2021 and are 5-1 this season.

Kole Klecker got the start for TCU but ran into some trouble early. He went just three innings giving up five hits on three runs. It was Luke Savage that got the win surrendering one run with a pair of strikeouts with 3.1 innings pitched.

TCU started off hot when Brayden Taylor singled home Elijah Nunez then Cole Fontenelle hit a triple down the right field and scored on a wild throw to make it 3-1 Frogs.

The Jayhawks tied it in the third inning, but the Frogs responded. Anthony Silva hit a line drive up the middle, and Logan Maxwell singled to right field to extend the lead to 5-3. Maxwell went 3-3 on the day. TCU ran away with it, outscoring Kansas 9-1 the rest of the way.

Most notably, Brayden Taylor made history in the sixth inning. He hit his 45th career home run to make him the all-time leader in home runs at TCU. Taylor said, "I thought it was a very cool moment...I felt so loved by all my teammates and all the staff. I'm very grateful for all of the friendships and the brotherhood I made in my time here."

Taylor had a monster day going 4-5 with three runs driven in. Six Horned Frogs finished with multiple hits. The offense continues to click, and you can certainly see the confidence with every at-bat TCU has. They own a 12-2 record in the month of May, with both losses coming by a run and outscoring opponents 122-44.

Next up: The Horned Frogs will await the winner of Kansas State and Kansas and will play in the Big 12 semifinal on Saturday.
