The Bruins are officially pursuing one of the top signal-callers in the nation.

Class of 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre has received an offer from UCLA football, he announced Monday on Twitter. The 6-foot-5 prospect out of Brentwood Academy (TN) becomes the fifth player and second quarterback in his class for the Bruins to hit with an offer.

MacIntyre is also sitting on offers from Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Duke, FIU, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Miami (FL), Michigan, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, SMU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Toledo, UNLV, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Washington State and Wisconsin.

Since last October, MacIntyre has visited Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama and Michigan. MacIntyre also plays basketball, and he has picked up additional offers to play hoops at Arizona State and FIU.

MacIntyre's father is the head coach at FIU, while his grandfather was the coach at Vanderbilt from 1979 to 1985.

As a sophomore, MacIntyre passed for 2,341 yards, 19 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

MacIntyre is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports, Rivals and On3, but the 247Sports Composite has him pegged as a five-star. In the 247Sports Composite, MacIntyre ranks as the No. 1 player in Tennessee, the No. 3 quarterback in the country and the No. 17 overall prospect in his class.

Of the five players UCLA has offered in the class of 2025, MacIntyre is the highest-rated in the 247Sports Composite.

The Bruins have only sent offers to two quarterbacks – MacIntyre and Husan Longstreet – and three linebackers – five-star Noah Mikhail, four-star Madden Faraimo and four-star Weston Port – in the class of 2025. None have committed anywhere yet.

UCLA got two quarterback commitments for the class of 2023 in five-star Dante Moore and three-star Luke Duncan. Of the four quarterbacks the Bruins offered in the class of 2024, three have already committed elsewhere.
