UCLA Basketball: Bruins' Plan For Rest Of Pac-12 Play Revealed

In this story:
The UCLA Bruins are on a roll. The Bruins earned a win on Saturday at the mercy of their cross-town rivals, the USC Trojans, to earn their ninth win of the season.
It was an impressive outing that earned them their third win in their last four games. The Bruins are playing good basketball at the right time as they look to get back into Pac-12 contention. With that win on Saturday, the Bruins earned their fourth win in conference play to move to 4-5.
These next 11 games are vital and will say a lot about where this young team will land. After the game, UCLA head coach Mick Cronin said his team isn't far from where they want to be.
“We just keep focusing on trying to get better. Obviously, we feel that we should have won four in a row. It is where it’s at. If we were sitting at 5-4 [in Pac-12 play], we’d be a game out of first.”

The Bruins are in eighth place when it comes to conference play. Although that may seem bleak, the Bruins are only two games out of first place. The Arizona Wildcats hold that position, and things could've been a bit different if UCLA was able to escape with a win last Saturday on the road.
Nonetheless, they are within striking distance of a regular-season conference title. Cronin and his team know what they have to do, and they're playing the right type of basketball to get the job done.
