UCLA Football: Elite So-Cal Quarterback Husan Longstreet Names Top Schools

2025 quarterback Husan Longstreet goes public with his top schools list

Centennial (Corona, CA) quarterback Husan Longstreet just named his top 8 schools that he will focus on for his recruitment. The class of 2025 prospect has offers from over 25 schools, but according to Hayes Fawcett of On3, he just whittled his recruitment down to 8 programs. Those schools are UCLA, Louisville, Ole Miss, Michigan, Miami, Oregon, Florida State, and Washington.

Longstreet, according to 247 Sports, is the fourth-best quarterback in the country and fourth-best player overall from the state of California in the 2025 class. He lists himself at 6-2 and just under 200 pounds. His brother, Kevin Longstreet, currently plays cornerback for Louisville.

UCLA's current recruiting cycle (2024) currently has 11 fewer commits than Rutgers, five less than Illinois and 12 less than Purdue. While the Bruins have successfully leveraged the transfer portal to fill gaps that their recruitment has left, they are grossly underperforming on the recruiting front compared to their future Big 10 opponents.

UCLA does not have anybody committed to their 2025 class as of today. They may have an edge over the other schools in Longstreet's top 8 list due to location. Still, to our knowledge, there is no other glaring tie that would point toward UCLA having a competitive advantage in Longstreet's recruitment.

Longstreet transferred to So-Cal powerhouse Centennial High School to play his junior season. He played his sophomore season at Inglewood and displayed excellent arm strength on his sophomore highlight tape.
