The USC Trojans women's basketball team have achieved a lot in year one of in the Big Ten. Trojans' star JuJu Watkins has led the team to a Big Ten conference regular season title after sweeping the UCLA Bruins in the season series to capture the title and has USC sitting with a 26-2 record at the end of the regular season.

Watkins has had big expecations riding into this year and has crushed every single one of them. As a result, she has seen her Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) profile expand this season and picked up some big endorsements over the past year. The sophomore guard added a new addition to her NIL portfolio after announcing her partnership with Degree Deodorant over her social media platforms.

Watkins' collaboration with Degree includes a contest where participants can test their luck and compete to win tickets to the NCAA Men’s or Women’s Final Four, travel accommodations and a year supply of Degree Whole Body Deodorant.

"As a college athlete, I'm constantly on the move, running from class to practice, reviewing game tapes, and spending time with my team. With the long days and intense workouts, stress and sweat are just part of the game, and I need a deodorant that can keep up. Degree's Whole Body Deodorant is a game-changer for me," Watkins said.

It's the latest NIL deal for Watkins as within the past year, she has partnered with United Airline, Nike, and Gatorade as she sits at No. 6 in women's basketball for NIL valuations in the country according to On3, Watkins is valued at around $739,000 by the site's NIL Valuation. After putting up All-American numbers in her freshman season last year, Watkins has avoided the sophomore slumo and is putting up 24.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game this season. Watkins' heroic efforts have helped USC reach their highest ranking in the AP Top 25 since 1984.

Unlike last season, the offensive burden doesn't entirely fall on Watkins. Over the offseason, the Trojans landed one of the most sought-after transfers in the country in Kiki Iriafen.

The Stanford transfer immediaitely made an impact for USC as soon as she came onto campus. Iriafen, a top WNBA Draft prospect, has averaged 18.1 points and 8.3 rebounds this season for the Trojans.

USC coach Lindsay Gottlieb and the Trojans still have a lot to look forward to in the season. The Trojans are the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten postseason tournament and will take the court again on March 7.

After reaching the Elite Eight last season, the Trojans will be looking to make an even deeper run in the NCAA tournament this season. With Watkins and Iriafen in tow, USC will be a tough out, regardless of who falls into their bracket.
