BREAKING: Major Change Made To UFC 292 Card

UFC 292 has been altered in a big way.

The UFC 292 card has been dealt a significant blow.

Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo was scheduled to take on Marlon "Chito" Vera on the main card of UFC 292. The bout was to be held inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on August 19. While the UFC announced the fight, "Triple C" made it clear that his shoulder may not be healed in time for the bout, as he's still feeling the effects of his May title fight with Aljamain Sterling.

The fears of fight fans have been realized, as Cejudo has announced on social media that he is out of UFC 292.

"Guys, I'm here to make an announcement that, unfortunately, due to my right shoulder I won't be able to fight," Cejudo said. "Guys, I've already torn my left shoulder when I was out for about a year. I don't want it to tear further than what it already is, that being said. I mean, there's a tear in there, guys. The cat's out the bag. It's actually a 50 percent tear."

Cejudo said that he was told by his doctor that he can expect to be healed in about 6-8 weeks. MMA reporter Ariel Helwani hopped on Twitter and said there's been no word on if "Chito" Vera will remain on the UFC 292 card to face a replacement opponent.
