Michael Chandler's Brutally Honest Quote On UFC Fight Against Conor McGregor

Michael Chandler has something to say about his expected UFC clash with Conor McGregor.

There may not be an official date for Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler, but "Iron" Mike is already confident in what the outcome will be.

Chandler and McGregor will be serving as opposing coaches on season 31 of "The Ultimate Fighter." Fight fans got to see a glimpse of the drama that will unfold on the show, as footage of McGregor shoving Chandler was released by the UFC.

Chandler was recently a guest on "The Schaub Show." The UFC lightweight responded when Brendan Schaub told him that perhaps he is an even greater knockout threat than McGregor.

"I believe that," Chandler said. "I also think he knows that, which excites me. Everybody knows a typical Michael Chandler fight. I'm gonna put my foot on the gas, get in his face, put him on his back foot early and try to knock him out."

"Iron" Mike then doubled down on his brutal prediction for the seemingly inevitable clash.

"My 'Mystic Mike' prediction, I knock him out in the second round," Chandler said. "I beat him up pretty bad, wear him out in the first, make him second guess himself and then bam, hit him with a hard one in the second, he goes down, we jump on the cage, maybe a backflip. We'll see. I assume a backflip."

One piece of the puzzle has been solved in terms of the holdup to making McGregor vs. Chandler a reality. The "Notorious" one and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) have cleared up their disagreement, and McGregor is set to re-enter the testing pool.
