Earlier this week, Reebok Basketball officially signed Connecticut Sun power forward Aneesah Morrow to a sneaker deal. Throughout her WNBA rookie season, Morrow rocked Reebok on the court while grabbing headlines with her unapologetically bold fashion off the court.

Standing at 6'1", the Chicago native brings big impact and attitude to the game. She is known for her grit, relentless energy, and hard work. So, it is perfect fit for the iconic brand.

As part of the endorsement deal, Morrow will support Reebok brand activation and will help bring awareness to the brand's performance and lifestyle offerings, including its performance basketball franchise, the Reebok Engine A.

Sports Illustrated's Kicks On SI spoke with Morrow about her new sneaker deal with Reebok. The 23-year-old spoke with a level of self-confidence that was not off-putting, but rather, inspiring.

How happy are you to officially sign with Reebok?

I'm truly excited to officially join the Reebok Hoops roster. Reebok aligns with the type of player I am- tough, versatile, physical, and authentic in how I approach the game, while also doing it in style. I've worked extremely hard my whole career, and to align with a brand that recognizes my journey and my work ethic means everything. Consistency has been everything for me, and I only plan to elevate from here.

Fans are really excited on social media. Did you expect this level of hype surrounding the announcement?

The love has been amazing. I don't take any of it for granted. I've built real connections with my supporters over the years, and to see them celebrate this moment with me means everything. It just shows how much people have been watching the work.

What do you hope to bring to the partnership?

Energy, toughness, and consistency. I pride myself on being relentless — especially on the boards. That's a big part of who I am. I want to represent Reebok in a way that reflects my work ethic and my mindset every single night.

Fellow LSU alum Angel Reese is also a Reebok athlete. Did she help play a role in your decision-making process?

It's special to be connected again — once teammates, now signed to the same shoe deal. That's full circle. We both built our names through our work ethic, especially on the boards, and that's something that will always connect us. It's a blessing to be part of something bigger alongside other strong women in this sport who continue to elevate the game.

You wore the Reebok Engine A throughout your rookie season. Where does that basketball shoe rank among your favorites?

I rank the Engine A at the top for me. I need a shoe that matches how I play which is quick, physical, dominant, but still polished  especially being so young in this league. It gives me the support and stability I can rely on every night. And they look good too, which is always a plus. You look good, you play good.

You are known for your fashion off the court. Are you going to incorporate Reebok apparel into some of your tunnel fits this summer?

Of course. Versatility is the biggest thing for me. I love being able to have my own style while mixing in athletic pieces — that vibe fits me perfectly. I'm excited to show how performance and fashion can blend seamlessly. And let's be honest… announcing a shoe deal in fur? That's versatile. That's bold. That's me.
