Former Ayala High School pitcher Adam Seminaris was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels.

Seminaris led Long Beach State with 95 innings in 2019 with a 3.35 ERA. He was considered one of the biggest risers from the 2019 Cape Cod Baseball League in which he went 2-1 with a 3.26 ERA and 21 strikeouts to six walks.
