Dec. 13, 2021

1. Etiwanda (5-0 – 1st)

The Eagles crushed one of the top teams in the San Diego Section, Mission Hills, 73-27 last week.

2. La Jolla Country Day (7-1 – 2nd)

Speaking of Mission Hills, LJCD faces them on Thursday.

3. Mater Dei (6-0 – 5th)

Mater Dei capped an outstanding week, which featured wins over Serra (Gardena), San Clemente, and Troy, with a 60-56 revenge win against Corona Centennial.

4. Corona Centennial (6-2 – 3rd)

The Huskies dropped a close one against Mater Dei last week, but not before blowing out Viewpoint, Aliso Niguel, and Sage Hill.

5. Cathedral Catholic (4-2 – 4th)

Cathedral edged out Windward 62-60 on Saturday on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

6. Sierra Canyon (9-0 – 6th)

The Trailblazers defeated Rosary Academy 65-55 on Saturday to continue their hot start.

7. Stockton St. Mary’s (6-1 – 7th)

The Rams got their first loss and it came by 14 points, but it was against East Coast powerhouse St. Paul VI (VA), arguably the top-team in the DMV area. So, they stay put for now

8. Clovis West (7-0 – 10th)

Clovis West didn't play last week, but rises as a result of some other top teams dropping.

9. Archbishop Mitty (7-0 – 13th)

The Monarchs edged out red-hot Salesian on Saturday in a major statement win.

10. Salesian College Prep (5-1 – 11th)

Before falling to Mitty, Salesian defeated Las Vegas powerhouse Centennial by 19 points.

11. St. Ignatius (5-0 – Unranked)

The Wildcats have been on the verge of the top-20 all season, and now they debut at 11 for knocking off Pinewood.

12. Pinewood (2-1 – 9th)

Despite the loss, Pinewood still has an extremely impressive 59-32 win over San Ramon Valley.

13. Windward (8-2 – 12th)

Even though they move down a spot, the Wildcats continued playing eye-opening ball last week. They rolled to wins over Peninsula and Westlake before nearly knocking off Cathedral Catholic.

14. Rosary Academy (2-3 – 14th)

The Royals are now below .500, but their losses have all come to higher-ranked teams, none in blowout fashion.

15. Carondelet (3-0 – 15th)

Carondelet hasn't been tested yet, but it's cruised to three solid victories.

16. Bishop O’Dowd (2-0 – 17th)

The Dragons cruised to wins against Pinole Valley and Moreau Catholic to start the season.

17. Oaks Christian (6-0 – 18th)

Oaks got another nice win last week defeating Marlborough by 17.

18. Camarillo (10-0 – 20th)

Already 10-0, the Scorpions are smashing a lot of Ventura County teams to open the season.

19. Folsom (7-0 – Unranked)

The Bulldogs haven't played any great teams yet, but they've beaten some good ones soundly. Their last win, 68-37 over Vista del Lago, was easily their best yet.

20. Ontario Christian (6-0 – Unranked)

Ontario Christian doesn't have a lot of true tests on its schedule this season, but in defeating the likes of Westchester and Long Beach Poly, it's already past some of the biggest ones. Like last season, it'll likely be nearly impossible to perfectly gauge the Knights until the playoffs start.

Also in consideration:

Troy, Orangewood Academy, Mission Hills, Viewpoint, Folsom, Bonita Vista, Roosevelt (Eastvale), Bishop Montgomery, Mount Miguel, Bishop Montgomery
